Description

One piece clip on aerofoil section spreaders. to suit various classes.
For 12.7 mm masts
This style of spreader avoids the need to drill holes in the mast and permits simple removal for de-rigging and re-positioning for rig tuning. The fore and aft angle (plan view) of the spreader bars to the mast is fixed giving repeatable rig trim. The spreader bars are tilted upwards going outboard from the mast and the aerofoil section is angled downwards to align well with the oncoming air flow.
ThIs has holes at 100, 90, 80 and 70 mm.
The unit is designed to be a clip on/clip off fit to the mast
The aerofoil section spreaders reduce the windage of the rig significantly compared to spreaders of round section and comparable stiffness. Spreader drag is reduced by approximately 90% for the same thickness of spreader bar.
