Description
Tiller arm retainer with cone
This item retains the tiller arm(147S-4 or 147S-5) in place on top of the rudder trunking (69-040) when the tiller arm screw is slackened to remove the rudder from the boat.
Supplied with a suitable screw, to replace the original and nut.
The
special cone shaped piece fits onto the tiller arm lock screw and helps to guide the allen key into place when tightening or slackening the screw. Useful when access and visibility inside the hull is limited.
The credit for the design of threatener part goes to Henning Faas of Germany. SAILSetc is grateful for his permission to reproduce it. The cone is a SAILSetc development.
